Alebrijes were first created by artisan Pedro Linares, who dreamed of being in a forest where he found fantastic creatures that accompanied him in his journey. In our time popular time artisans from Oaxaca, Mexico combine vibrant colours to craft these imaginative and surreal sculptures.
Our wooden Cat was carved from Copal wood and it is hand painted. The artists who made these “one of a kind” figure are Roxana and Jesus Hernandez.
