Hand made by loom using sheep wool. The dying of the wool is achieved by using natural products such as fruit, wild roots and flowers. Molles/Poplar tree leaves for yellow and green shades, walnut tree bark for brown, beetroot and cabbage for red and blues
Puyos are made entirely by hand from sheep or llama wool. Traditionally puyos were used as blankets to protect from the cold temperatures of the winters in the North of Argentina. These days they are used as rugs, sofa or bed covers.
This textile is also used to create pencil cases, table runners and cushion covers.
Artisans can take around one month to produce one puyo.
Each item is unique and truly “one-of-a kind”. Subtle variations in size, colour and finish are part of the natural beauty of our products
